Designed for use with ethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and ester types.
Competing products may contain sodium or potassium silicate to stop leaks. Water solutions of sodium and potassium silicate harden at 45 to 60 degrees Celsius. They create an effective seal, but the problem is they can harden in the coolant; if not flushed immediately after the leak stops, it can cause blockages where they aren’t wanted.
